Rotary: Club Business Meeting
Rotary: Club Business Meeting September 28, 2023 7:30 am - 8:30 am Mt Si Senior Center, 411 Main Ave S, North Bend, WA 98045, USA Come join us while we talk about Fundraisers, Budget and anything else the club needs to discuss. Next week we will dive into the Golf Tournament.
- Sponsorships as a package or individual events:
- A few years back (before my time) the packaged sponsorship was put together so we are only approaching sponsors once for the year. Thoughts of trying again. We could incorporate the Challenge Race, Sip Fest, Golf, and the Beer Garden.
- As a business it was nice to only be approached once, however as I was not in Rotary yet at the time, I am not sure what the feedback was from other businesses.
- One reason we make so much on the golf is because we have sponsorships. The Challenge Race seems to be last minute since it is more community that fund raising but we don’t want it to be an expense. Sip Fest we did not do sponsors, thus it did not raise as much as we had hoped.
- Making the sponsorships reasonable pricing would also help. We could start at $3000 for instance but no limit as to how many we have in any category. We would showcase at all events or if someone specifically wants to only do one event that is where they are showcased. Lower sponsorships could, for instant include a cart sponsorship at the golf tournament.
- Committee for sponsorships and to talk about the events:
- Could we recruit a group of 4 or 5 to work on the sponsorship package (if we want to go that route) and discuss timing of events.
- Think about why we do them and are they beneficial. I believe all are since they keep Rotary front and center. Together we make enough to make a difference back in the community, which is one of our main goals.
- Change the date for Sip Fest because changing the Golf tournament.
- Challenge Race is in May.
- Golf is most likely being moved to end of July.
- Beer Garden is beginning of August.
- Sip Fest potentially September to space things out or keep in July and be a bit overwhelmed. Or end of June. Weather is a factor on both. After I spoke to Mark September may be hard, depending on the date, for the wineries and production.
