Advisory Board Application Form
The Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley invites applicants to its Business Advisory Board.
What it is:
Each year the Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley raises funds to support the local community. The funds are distributed to individuals (e.g., “students of the quarter”) and to local non-profit organizations (e.g., Snoqualmie Shelter). In the spring the Rotary Club solicits requests from non-profit organizations for grants. The Club’s Service Committee reviews the submitted grant requests to select those to which funds will be disbursed. The Business Advisory Board is intended to expand the Club’s reach into the community, help locate more community organizations that could benefit from grants, and assist in allocating the grants according to the Club’s criteria and the priorities of the community. It also gives local businesses the opportunity to participate in the grant selection process.
Responsibilities:
Members of the Advisory Board will work with the Club’s Service Committee to provide input into the Club’s grant selection process. This process takes place in the springtime. Meetings are usually scheduled outside regular business hours, and they generally support remote attendance via Zoom.
