The Snoqualmie Valley Rotary recently recognized that there may be many kids in our Valley who may go without something special on Easter Sunday.
To help provide assistance, we wanted to create an Easter basket program that would work with valley businesses to assemble baskets that could be given out prior to the holiday. Since time was short, and coordination was lengthy, it was decided that we needed to take a different approach.
In the end, we were able to provide assistance to the North Bend Bakery and have them make 900 Easter cookies for us. We then were able to team up with the Helping Hands Ministry to help disperse these cookies through their Weekend Backpack Program. The goal was to put a little something special in those backpacks and create some smiles along the way!
A big thank you to the North Bend Bakery for being able to accommodate such a big order in a very short period of time AND for their generosity in donating some of their time to our effort!
