1) Our 4th Annual Challenge Race on May 19th. All hands on deck to provide a fun, exciting and enjoyable Saturday for the children in our community who live with disabilities. The Challenge Race video on the Life Enrichment Options website: lifeenrichmentoptions.org under communications will give you a idea of the fun day we are planning for the kids. Come be part of it!
If you have a child 9 yrs or older and under 5’2” & 120 lbs who would like to be a driver please contact Nancy to get the registration form. If you have or know a child with a disability (under 5’2” & 120 lbs) who would like to race, please let Nancy know also. Will have t-shirt, pizza and fun for everyone who turns out!
2) Our club is going to partner with the Bellevue Rotary Club and the Dakar Millenium Rotary Club on an International Project in a Senegalese Village. The program includes rehabilitating an abandoned water well and installing a solar pump and gravity-fed garden irrigation system to provide access to clean, abundant and affordable water for the village. We will also provide hands-on training for community members in sustainable agriculture strategies, poultry production, clay-sand improved cookstove construction and in the development of community savings and lending procedures. We are planning a presentation from one of the members of the Bellevue Rotary to come tell us more. Maybe there will be an opportunity to go to Senegal in the future. Stay tuned.
Our meetings are an informal gathering of friends who work together toward a common purpose - the betterment of Snoqualmie Valley and the world. Each week a relevant, interesting guest brings our membership together for fellowship, laughs and above all direction. Our main fund raisers each year are the Presidents Cup Golf Tournament right here at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge and SipFest Snoqualmie. We support a multitude of local needs, including the local food band, college grants, The Challenge Race and many other worthy programs.
Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley meets every Thursday morning at 07:00am at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge. We have approximately thirty-five active men and women ages 25 to 70+ who make up our current membership. We bring together a wide range of professional and business backgrounds and the rotary motto of "service above self" is our daily standard.
Paul P. Harris and fellow business leaders who believed in the ideal of “Service Above Self” formed the world’s first service club in 1905. Today, Rotary has a global network of 1.2 million members in more than 33,000 clubs in over 200 countries. Please join us every Thursday morning!
