| My name is Bud Withers, longtime Woodinville resident and retired sportswriter (including 28 years at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and Seattle Times). I’ve authored a book, “Too Good to Be Through,” on the Apple Cup football rivalry, just released in September. It features accounts of every game in the 125-year history of the series; a ton of anecdotes and yarns about the relationships and unlikely alliances between Huskies and Cougars; and not far from the surface, discussion about whether the rivalry will continue in the face of all the dramatic change in college sports.
