Wendi is the Executive Director for America’s Foundation for Chess. She is an educational authority on using chess to teach critical and creative thinking skills and has been an international keynote speaker on the topic. She works with school districts across the United States training teachers to incorporate authentic tools to teach students how to think, not what to think.

Wendi is currently a member of the Z25/26 Priority #1 Plus Training Cadre, and Membership Chair for District 5030. Wendi has also worked on the development of the PETS membership curriculum for 2016 and 2017. Previously, she served as President of the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club 2014-2015. Wendi was Chief of Staff and District Conference Chair for Governor Steve Lingenbrink in 2012-2013.

Wendi and her husband Chad, an attorney at Microsoft, have teenagers, Kate (17), and Carson (15). Wendi enjoys exploring the world, is an OrangeTheory junkie, and enjoys baking when at home.
